Just an FYI (sorry to the person who responded, I lost your message).
It appears that the second DIMM slot on the motherboard is faulty.
Why this would cause the machine to freeze at the *exact* same point
is beyond me, but now that the DIMM that was in it has gone, debian

Current version of qemacs segafaults after a typing ~ 20 letters, somewhere
in strcpy. I think it is ready still to enter distribution...

Hello!
Daniel made a package with bogl frame-buffer library and bterm,
so we don't need to keep them in boot-floppies CVS. But still
I think that we should have bogl and stuff, but in another
module, Dan?

I've just had a look. It doesn't work too well (at least not
out of the box on a typical sid system) with iso-8859-2.

There is now, because I just made one:

I'm not a Debian maintainer, of course, so if any maintainer wants to
review this and upload it, that might be useful. (I know there are
these things called ITPs.)

Great.
BTW, I still don't understand why the woody/main/disks-i386 directory
contains a boot floppy
If we are going to use UTF-8 for the installer, then we need a new
editor instead of ae. I looked at the source for ae and thought it
would be easier to write a new editor from scratch than to add
multibyte support to ae.
QEmacs may be the answer: http://www-stud.enst.fr/~bellard/qemacs/

Hello,
I tried to build a Debian woody boot floppy set with the latest code from
CVS and I have a problem.
The is no base*.bin and the base tarball is also missing at the end of the
