Setting language in /etc/environment is evil. Fixed in woody.
We set the user language selection in /root/dbootstrap_settings if
in i18n mode. If you want actions optionally done at that point,
please file bugs against base-config.

After downloading all the packages (and seemingly installing most
of them) lilo's executable is not installed.
The package is downloaded and resides in the right dir.

boot-floppies hack around it, since debootstrap is a generally useful tool.

This problem was fixed in CVS by Ben Collins on January 8, 2001.
However, the latest sparc potato boot-floppies in the archive were
uploaded on December 3, 2000. The next uploaded version of sparc
boot-floppies should contain the fix.

BusyBox, which contains a fix, will probably be released and
uploaded this evening.

You probably need libnss_files and an appropriate entry ("passwd: files") in
nsswitch.conf.

Right now, packages are downloaded from the web, stored in
/var/cache/apt/archives/...deb and later simply unpacked.
