thanks to the informative error messages, i have determined that the
shared library problem was due to the fact that i was trying to build
the boot-floppies on a woody system, while the boot disks were pulling
down unstable .deb's.
the libc versions were different, which was causing the problem.

Hi all
I've just started looking at the boot floppies and I am unclear on this.
As a Debian developer to I have write access to the CVS repository, and
if so, should I send patches here or apply them myself?
I have attached a patch that creates an install_depends to complement
check_depends, as
I am annoyed: Whatever I fix in bootfloppies if fixed allready
when I want to check it in.
I basicly spend a hole evening + half a night on 'getting to know
the system' whithout any practical value.
Efficiency could improve.
What I do not find is the filelist or command that generates the

While Stable modconf_0.2.26_all.deb was only displaying the pcmcia
section under 2.4.3, upgrade to Testing modconf_0.2.32_all.deb cured the

The busybox implementation of dpkg (based on udpkg) should be working
now, im sure bugs will become aparent, but it does generate a status
file and and unpacks the info files etc. It is not making the status
file compatable with the full dpkg though.
