I noticed that though the base system has files in /etc/modutils, and
the update-modules command is part of the modutils post-install

Perhaps the modutils post-install script isn't being run when
I have a fairly wacky proposal which concerns, mainly, boot-floppies on
Linux/ARM. I've attached the proposal here; it should actually of generic
relevance, but I'm only working on ARM for the time being. If anyone had
any comments I'd be hugely hugely greatful. If not, skip the message.
Thanks
Hello.
I am having a problem installing Debian on my computer, an old Toshiba
Satellite notebook. It has no cd-rom drive, so I followed the instructions

I received a business-card-sized CD-ROM of slink boot floppies from
linuxcare, perhaps you've seen it. It was a pretty nifty item.
I would relish covenient clear instructions on how to make such a
CDROM. Right now, we have complete images, and we have floppies, but
no instructions for making a

have this and I'm not sure what to do.

Section 1.3 of the installation manual asks "What is Hurd?"
The usage of "Hurd" is almost always with a definite article; the
question should be "What is the Hurd?"
(and throughout that section as well, "Hurd" should be replaced with
"the Hurd" almost everywhere it occurs)
