I can't access the source tree: wincvs don't work, and the connection with my A500 via 56k modem was to slow. After 5 minutes without a response I gave up. Can someone compile me a patched kernel, please? cu Stefan Pietzonke

I have some trouble with the cvs. Downloading the linux-2.4 source tree breaks with this error: cvs [server aborted]: ipt_DSCP.h,v is ambiguous; could mean ipt_dscp.h,v or ipt_DSCP.h,v I used cvs and wincvs. The error is the same.

I patched my kernel sources to 2.4.23-pre5, and your patch didn't work: drivers/ide/config.in Hunk #1 FAILED at 109. drivers/ide/legacy/gayle.c Hunk #1 FAILED at 29. Hunk #2 FAILED at 118. While patching the kernel from x.18 to x.23, I got a lot Hunk failure messages too! cu Stefan Pietzonke
