I've just sent a test kernel (2.4.23
I can't access the source tree: wincvs don't work, and the connection with
my A500 via 56k modem was to slow.
After 5 minutes without a response I gave up.
Can someone compile me a patched kernel, please?

Try to checkout from a *nix platform, Windows can not distinguish
between these two filenames.

Anyone
I have some trouble with the cvs. Downloading the linux-2.4 source tree
breaks with this error:
cvs [server aborted]: ipt_DSCP.h,v is ambiguous; could mean ipt_dscp.h,v or
ipt_DSCP.h,v
I used cvs and wincvs. The error is the same.

I patched my kernel sources to 2.4.23-pre5, and your patch didn't work:
drivers/ide/config.in
Hunk #1 FAILED at 109.
drivers/ide/legacy/gayle.c
Hunk #1 FAILED at 29.
Hunk #2 FAILED at 118.
While patching the kernel from x.18 to x.23, I got a lot Hunk failure
messages too!

Hi!
you wanted some information about my turbo board.
Well here is it:
The board is a E-Matrix 530 for Amiga 500.
68030 & 68882 @ 50 mhz, PS/2 ram up to 128 MB, kickrom socket
IDE controller: gayle
Fast SCSI-II controller: NCR, 53CF94-2
Note: not all boards are with the SCSI controller.

The reason for it not finding the harddisk is that it already can't find
the IDE controller. Your I

Hi!
I found a solution: on the E-Matrix Turboboard is the same IDE controller as
on A1200 and A4000. But if the model-flag 1 is set (A500), amiboot won't
search for the controller.
I used the model-flag 5 (A1200) and now it works. All IDE devices are
detected.
I can't check if the SCSI controller w
Hi!,
I'm a Linux newbie and have trouble with the installation of Woody.
The installer can't find my harddisk. The linux partitions are:
DH3: 7533 MB root, dostype: "LNX\0"
DH4: 452 MB swap, dostype: "SWP\0"
I added the following arguments to the standard install script:
"video=amifb:pal nolang
