Well, we don't have to have a keynote every day, but the DPL talk,
lightning talks, e.g. the CTTE plentary etc. are all candidates for
this.

But you could be relied upon to read the mailing lists so there is no hard
need go for you to attend.
We only might need to allow for some time between our section and the
keynote and ask people who came late to stay out to keep noise level down.

I think I like that idea; only way for it to really break down would be if
we have too many attendees for our main room.
Would that mean we would also invite some/more "outside" speakers and/or
have panel discussions to have truly room-filling content?
I think I would like that even better.
