I always forget that the messages do not get deleted, they get marked
for deletion and will be deleted when dbmail-util runs... Sorry about
that.
What does your cronjob say?

That is a postfix question... In it's simplest form, dbMail is just a

Check to see if there is a /tmp/dbmail_scoreboard.lck file that the
service can not overwrite. I had that problem with I went from 2.0.2 to
2.0.3...

The entry that I found was log-slave-updates in my.cnf on both primary &
secondary MySQL servers.
If you would like more information about my setup, please let me know. I
would be more then willing to share.

You could export the mailbox with the client, or you could use fetchmail
(or something of the sort) to migrate the mail over... I normally use
the Import/Export functions in Outlook. But that is just me...

Not to be rude, but that is a question for the spamassassin mailing list
or a google search.
But to answer your question, you are correct, you need to run spamd,
users home folders need to have a config file (~/.spam.conf or
something) to opt in or in the master config file it needs to have an

Correct me if I am wrong here... But in the transport, you should put
dbmail-{smtp|lmtp}:{host}:{port}. Can you leave it empty like that? Or
is there some other setting that allows that...

Check the DBMail.conf file. There is a 'BINDIP=' option for lmtp, smtp
and imap. I believe that is what you would like.

Setting InterScan to do this should not be that hard and then you are
not messing with postfix's master.cf file.

The real question is what version of MySQL are you running? 4.x or 5.x?

Thank you for the tweaks and configs! It all saved me a lot of time and
troubleshooting. Only thing I did find was I had to do '\#Public/SPAM'.
I also noticed that it was case sensitive.

What about 'dbmail-util -a'? It has saved me in the past when my MySQL
replication choked... (My config/NIC problem, not a MySQL problem.)

I like it. I am probably going to put it on my backup server and try it
as a alternative install... Just to try it out. It would save me a lot
of trouble with running Evolution and Filters. I am no dev but i think
it looks good.
One idea, what about using an enum on the filter_field column instead
Are you running the filters patch? If so you have two things. One, goto
dbmail.com and download a fresh tar.gz from the website. Two, create the
missing dbmail_filters in your database.

Postfix is the mail transport agent. it is what does the sending and
recieving of mail messages via SMTP protocol. dbmail-lmtp (or
dbmail-smtp) is how you get from postfix to dbmail to use an imap or
pop3 client.
Hope that helps.
