[Dbmail] Adding LDAP functionality to dbmail

How does one go about adding LDAP functionality for authentication to dbmail. I saw some posts that mentioned it, but I am not really clear on how to do this. Also, am interested in more info re plans to add Exchange functionality to dbmail. Are the plans to write an RPC server that acts the
