That choice is just about 10 years old. And we are a lot to agree with
you, but it's, by now, just darktable history. And that had been
discussed many times. But yes, not the place to start a discussion
again. The better place is Github issue I linked in my first answer.

I just find it a very odd style choice to do it everywhere. It’s an automatism
to write capital letters and while scanning text it also guides the reader. But
I guess this isn’t the place to start a discussion. Just my 2 cents :-)

This is general brand for darktable. As you can see "darktab"e is spelled
starting with small letter. The interface is all in small letters unles
capiutal letters are necessary.

I’m translating soms strings to Duch and I’m wondering why no capital letters
are used in the English file.
An example: this module is deprecated. please use the quick access panel
instead.
I notice this a lot while translating.
