the cygwin dll cannot coexist in the same
executable. I dont know how the linking process works on windows, so I
was wondering if the third party library could possibly have a msvcrt.dll
dependency that would rule out cygwin for my port.

I am compiling some files which need functions like -pread(), pwrite() which
shud be in libc.a.
But they are not.
This file was actually mean to be complied on linux.
Any ideas how can I overcome this problem

I have installed the freeware of cygwin unix ware ... but the problem is
what ever command i try to execute it is giving
"bash: who: command not found" ... only the pwd command i can execute in
that ... i'm in the /usr/bin directory.
Will plz guide me to come out of this problem.

ls" or "man "followed by any command it is giving
