Hi all,
I've noticed a minor issue while typing at the bash prompt in cmd.exe. It
seems that when I try to type a £ sign, a hash character and newline is
entered instead. I'm aware of the issues surrounding these two characters,
but as far as I can tell all of my language settings in Windows ar

Hi,
Thanks for your earlier advice. To wander onto a slightly different topic
now, the code uses the ALIGNBYTES macro, which as far as I can tell should
be in machine/param.h
This file seems to be empty though, just containing a comment that it is a
placeholder. Does this macro exist in Cygwin,
rlen () on the
d_name field (if anyone knows of some reason why this is a bad idea,
please let me know).
Does anyone know how I can simulate the d_type field? Or if it's even
relevant in Cygwin at all?
Any advice will be much appreciated.

Sorry, I don't know of any way with POSIX semantics to track when just
file metadata has changed. There

Hi everyone,
I wonder if someone could clear up an issue I'm having with ls -c (sorting
files by ctime). As I understand it, the ctime is only updated when file
status information (such as permissions) changes, or a file is completely
recreated. It looks to me though, like the ctime is being up
