Hi everyone, I'm currently working on porting some (old) Solaris based programs to Cygwin. At some points, these make use of the d_namlen and d_type fields in the dirent structure. The trouble is, Cygwin doesn't seem to have these. I suppose I could simulate d_namlen by calling strlen () on the d_name field (if anyone knows of some reason why this is a bad idea, please let me know).
Does anyone know how I can simulate the d_type field? Or if it's even relevant in Cygwin at all? Any advice will be much appreciated.
