In order to support the latest version of cURL, I have added libssh2
packages to the Cygwin distro. This is a small C library implementing
the SSH2 protocol. It is packaged in three parts:
libssh2: documentation
libssh2_1: runtime, library ABI version 1
libssh2-devel: headers, static library, i
I've updated the cURL and libcurl packages to 7.16.3-1. This is a new
upstream release containing new features as well as bugfixes.
One of the main new features is the ability to transfer files over SSH,
using the scp:// and sftp:// URLs. To accomplish this libcurl now requires

I've been unable to use Cygwin's OpenSSH on Vista w/public key
authentication because ssh.exe always states the file permissions on the
private key file--"id_rsa"--are too open.
I've used the chmod.exe utility to change the permissions on the id_rsa
file
