fully ball bearing 5:1 unit. My Harken ball bearing car traveler is now
available. I upgraded it to 6:1 and also strengthened it by mounting it
on a stainless square tube to eliminate the flexing I was experiencing
with it.

After 32 years, my 3GMD is loosing about 1 qt of oil/10 hrs of running.
It runs great and does not seem to smoke. I think the seals are weeping
and causing the oil loss. Does anyone know if the 3GDF is a direct swap
for the 3GMD, as "F" is more readily found. Thanks.

Hello All,
Now that the boat (35-3) is on the hard, I was able to clean the engine
and try to locate the source of my oil leak(s). It appears that the
culprit is the dipstick! The rubber seal no longer is able to stay in
place, rises up and allows oil out of the crankcase when under power.

I replaced the Martec on my 35-3 many years ago with a Flex-0-Fold 2
blade. Absolutely no complaints drives the boat very well. The only
issue worth mentioning is you need to mark your prop shaft to note when
the blades are at the 9 & 3 position when racing. otherwise, one blade
