I went with a Kiwi prop about three years ago. It is a three blade, so you get
the propulsion advantage of a three blade and it feathers to reduce drag. At
the time it cost me about 1500. For me I still have a long ways to go with
getting the sails properly trimmed and this has more of an effect
flexibilty.

Should be a nice beam reach with no tacking all the way across. Just pick the
weather window you are comfortable with. We stay at the Fisherman's marina,
nice facility just phone ahead to book. As always have some flex in your
schedule and you won't have much need for alternative locations.

BC Canada in 2007. They did a super neat job. I imagine that I will be facing
new batteries in a couple of years as well.

I completed this on Apple Tree about five years ago ... memory is a bit foggy
but I think you can do it with two sheets. You need to "spline" the section by
the galley to get the correct width as it is over 4 feet wide there. I first
did a rough cut (within say a half inch) with a jig saw, then
I built and sailed a F-31 tri for a few years and really loved the speed, but I
would not go back (have a C&C35III now). I don't need to go 20kts to be
thrilled, 7 or 8 knots is pretty fun and I don't have to be worried about
flipping the boat, and I get to live in very civilized comfort when I
My experience is the same as Jim's - no problem turning the key off with the
engine running.

I completed this same job on our 35-3 and it can be done with Two 4X8 sheets,
however you will need to spline the rear piece by the galley as this area is
about 5 feet wide at that point. I used 1/4 inch teak/holly laminated to 1/2
inch marine grade plywood using epoxy as the adhesive- this was
