For the most part, I think what you have already done is fine. The only
part left is to sand/grind a bit of it down
so you can add gelcoat. You can make a template of your gelcoat pattern
with modeling clay or something similar to
make a stamp. Then add gelcoat (color matched) to the holes and
If the nonskid is rolled on, activate the gel coat, mix in colloidal silica to
mayonnaise consistency and apply with a fine sponge to match. Practice first
to get the technique down.
