I would suggest cut out the piece of foam in affected area. And make a new
chunk of foam to fit into it; glue in place with 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive.

A belated thanks for all the responses. The Stanley, B&D and West Marine 15

If the cloth is OK, some steak knife surgery can replace the foam fairly
easily. If you need to cut a lot of foam or just want to do a real neat job, an
electric carving knife works great and leaves a much nicer edge. I bought a

Doug,
Isopropyl alcohol is what many people use to clean epoxy resin, but alcohol is
an effective thinner and not an ideal remover. Try cleaning an epoxy brush
with alcohol and you will see that it will still remain sticky.
On the other hand, regular old white vinegar will break down epoxy resi
Hello all,
I have a 1994 C&C 37/40+ with a Yanmar 3JH2E engine. Interestingly, in the
breather vent line leading to the air filter, there is a fitting with a hole in
it that pretty clearly was intentionally installed, and even looks factory

You can see it here: Breather Vent Tube.jpg

That's where combustion gasses that accumulate in the crankcase/valve cover
get drawn off. Modern cars have a system installed to maintain a slightly

Interesting, Possibly it could have been to get the oil out so it doesn’t

difference.

I have a similar cushion issue. Someone left a hammer on the cushion, it
got moist and now I have an iron rust stain.
Any ideas on how to remove it? it's in the settee cushion up by the

Hi Josh,
Thanks for the note, and just so I am clear, are you saying that the hole in
that tube would be there to ensure that not too much vacuum is being generated
by the engine through air filter assembly? That way it prevents drawing too
much air (and potentially oil) from the valve cover ar
