First off, I would call Forespar and ask them, they make them. My understanding is that the clear coat that is already on it protects the carbon fiber. A polish will help protect the factory clear coat. Painting it white, would be like putting pants over your coveralls. Putting a clear coat

I have done more reading and investigation over the last few days. One thing is that it seems many mooring failures seem to be chafe rather than pendants parting or cleat failures. But there are also many nylon rode failures in hurricanes and violent storms. So here is my current pendant plan
