Just received notice our yard (Fort Rachel) remains closed to the public and
boat owners for another month until April 30. Boat owners are prohibited
from working on their boats during this period so will really start to
impact launch schedules. We normally remove cover and start spring buff &

Joe, I'm pretty sure if you check, your "full coverage" has limitations as
to where you are covered and under what type of operating conditions.
For example, when we purchased Sea Hawk we had "full coverage" but were not
covered for any type of racing. The recreational boating we were covered

All policies have some restrictions. I never had winter layup, usually
the boat gets used 12 months a year more or less. My old navigation
limit without a rider was the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays. Now I have
by default the East Coast and Gulf Coast and out 75 miles. I could pay a
bit extra an
Touche's insurance is cheaper in Pensacola, FL than Mandeville, LA. Most
probably because of Louisiana's legal system. ALL insurance is more
expensive in Louisiana. :(

FWIW, my premium is based on agreed value. At $40K agreed value, the premium
is $716 w Progressive within 75 nautical miles. They didn't require any

and every five years. I also get a discount for no claims for ov
Agreed value is for your sake. You know you have way more than 70k tied up

Yesterday on the way to Touche' I had the pleasure of going through the

On approach, signs and orange pylons directed traffic into the right lane

That is my fear. I think they would LOVE to write you up for fishing or
crabbing without a license. My Whaler is licensed already, but I think I
need a license for me while sailing too.
Meanwhile the headboats can still go out!

That was a tongue in cheek response although my crabbing license is still valid. Just need to get through PA without getting stopped.

Don't think I'm not taking this thing seriously! I think the Admiral and I

Anyone who states that sailing is not an an essential part of life must not
have psychological needs.
Sailing and or boat maintenance in a marina are one of the few activities
compliant with social distancing that I can think of today. I am a New

Hello all,
I have an additional primary filter left over from removing a generator that
was mounted in the stern of our 1994 C&C 37/40+.
I was thinking about re-mounting it and using it as a backup filter in the
event the usual filter becomes clogged. I could also use it for polishing with

You could check out buying only the valve from the Racor 75500MaxM. Six
ports and one handle. Might be pricey but simpler installation if you have
a couple of filters already.
