I would try a cleaner/wax first. (Meguiars Flagship Premium Cleaner/Wax) They abrasives in a cleaner wax are extremely fine. Failing that, try Aquabuff 2000 (A polishing compound), a high speed dual action polisher and water. Note that there is a difference between a polishing compound and a rub

I have the same issue on my 37+. Water from the bilge gets around the keel bolts when the boat is on the hard. I first noticed rust coming out of a blister in the keel. When the boat is in the water nothing leaks. Next winter I'm going to pull the mast, seal around the keel bolts and torque them

Hi Ron, I have not seen any signs of rust, but I'm in Lake Superior (and always have been AFAIK), so that may be why there's no/little rust yet. I also have no noticable leaks and the bulges are not huge, but definitely noticeable when on the hard. There are some small cracks in the lead around th

Hi Frank, I tried several things and my best result was take all oxidation with a high speed polisher with wool pads / 3M super duty, wet sand it with 1500-2000 grit paper and lots of water then buff with a high speed polisher with wool pads, 3M Finesse-it compound or Meguire's fine compound.
