You referred to your engine as a 2GM15. If it is not followed by an "F" then it is a raw water cooled engine. There is no coolant. That would explain why you can't find a place to add coolant. There is however still a thermostat. I would check it by removing and placing it in hot water. As yo

On my LF38, all three tanks have their own individual vent as they should. The vent line follows the inlet hose and exits the hull just below each fill connection on the deck. The original vent lines are 3/8" gray plastic piping. A good venting system is necessary to get good flow into and out

If I may suggest, a Bluetooth GPS puck might be a better option (a tablet has probably very limited USB ports). If you have a GPS dongle, get yourself a USB2Go cable that would let you connect a normal USB device (low power, though) to a MicroUSB port that is normally available on a tablet.
