Spencer,
The cap on the rudder should unscrew very easily. Mine spins easily once
the set screws are removed. It shouldn't need a wrench at all. If you
haven't lifted the rudder slightly to take the pressure off the donut, that
could be the cause.

Congrats Dave. Looks like everything worked out well. I find it strange that
anyone would use epoxy to seal the keel joint. When mine was replaced the yard
used 3M 5200…lots of it. They probably used two or three large tubes of it.
The boat sat for a day or two before they finally torqued t
I thought I would let the list know about this experience and hopefully make
most of you jealous. I donated some sails to Seabags last fall and for that
get a free bag in return. I saw that they had some boat brand specific bags
for sale, but none from C&C. I talked to Carrie Fletcher about i
OK, I'm jealous. Glad you took the time to share a story about "great company"

Mine was done with epoxy. It's easier to break loose, if necessary, than 5200.
The joint was finished with a layer of fiberglass cloth. No leaks, and you
can't even see the joint.

Hi Rich,
Things are evolving with respect to the City of Kingston reaching out to
help the Marine Museum, even if the city does not directly acquire the

I'm sure you already know, but the Blue white Red white Blue of the C&C boot
stripe mimics the international flag for the letter "C", hence their company
logo.

Are the set-screws doubled up? Maybe that's the problem. I discoverd that

When I lost the hard drive on my laptop, I lost a lot of files - including a
