Find your starter and find four terminals. two small ones are the button
circuit. The two bigger ones have heavy battery wires attached.
To rule out the button, short the two terminals with a short piece of wire, or
needle nose pliers. It

More likely a corroded wire. Remove the panel and jump the wires on the
back of the switch to isolate the problem.
