Chris, I do not use a Loos gage on Beemer, 29mkll, to tune my rig. My process is as follows. With all stays and shrouds lose, I tension the stays so I have approximately 9 inches rake along the boom using a weight on the main halyard. Forestay first, then backstay to remove slop. I them tension
