Am searching for a better water based ablative multi season bottom paint. Moor
in a river with salt tidal water so there is a constant water movement.
Temperature ranges from 55 in early
My first keel boat (Southcoast 23) used Tri Butyl Tin bottom paint. It
was in Lake Texhoma when I bought it and I moved it to Lake Lewisville
(Dallas' primary drinking water reservoir). I changed over to a copper
based ablative when I brought her up to Lake Michigan.

I used it and it did pretty well. Not as well as it did before they got
caught using illegal toxins, but still good.
NOTHING though even comes close to mind 70s Sears bottom paint. It kept
barnacles out of the entire marina, not just your boat.

No experience but when I was talking to the contractor that does my bottom
paint about switching paints, he was very high on Sea Hawk paints. Been
using him since 2011 and I respect his opinion.

Pettit Hydrocoat SR with less than satisfactory results – much slim
