If the turnbuckle threads are disintegrating (verify)…minimally have the rig removed, turnbuckles replaced and rig x-rayed. Re-heading and new turnbuckles may be all you need. That being said you may as well go the whole route if you are doing all that anyway. IMHO…I think rod is over-repl
