You would hold better with more chain, like 35-50 ft min of 5/16 for your C&C 34 and scope is very important. So mark you rode and try to get a good set and put out at least 4 times as much rode as depth but preferably 7 times. I have a C&C 35 and have used 35 pound CQR and now 15 Kg Bruce with 50
