Paul, you can usually wire the propane detector to shut off the propane
solenoid if it senses fuel. I am shopping for an automatic fire extinguisher
for the engine compartment that uses a non corrosive extinguishing agent. An

I currently have no detectors on my boat and although it is on my list, this
is a good reminder to speed up the install. The way I see it, the detectors
I should have are
- smoke alarm
- propane alarm (sensor down low)
- CO detector
- gas fumes alarm (sensor down
in cockpit, gas atomic 4.
Any other suggestions from the list would be appreciated.

will be interesting to see what the cause of the fire was but
