Another vote for Poliglow for topsides and WoodyWax for deck. I have been using Poliglow on the Awlgripped topsides despite the negative recommendation from the paint people. I get complimented on the hull every year by passersby despite the desperate need for a new paint job (scratches, not s

My experience with woodwax was that you had to have clean and lightly wet decks. Spritz the deck brush and then scrub the product onto the deck. It is slippery when wet so watch yourself. Beyond that I found it kind of hard to tell where the product was - wet or dry. Since I did the entire deck

Yikes! Thanks, Bill. Yes, my labeling jargon edit button was off. Topsides on my boat sport AwlCraft, and only get the Awlgrip protectant. The deck and cockpit have deserved attention, but are not bad. I have read that the sandpaper treatment is not an annual recommendation and I want to preserv

Hard carnuba waxes typically get the highest ratings. PS did this review and Collonite Fleet Wax Paste (IIRC #855?) was rated such that I chose it for my hull. On the deck their recommendation was WoodyWax. You brush it on with a deck brush and it doesn't negatively impact the non-skid. It's a

For the hull topsides (not nonskid!), I have had excellent results with PoliGlow. That said, this was with our last boat in Chicago, and we are now in Florida with a different boat. So, I too will be interested in this exchange! Kindest Regards, Bruce 847.404.5092 Please forgive any typos as

Since you mention non-skid, I think you may be conflating "topsides", with the deck. Topsides are the area from the waterline up to the rubrail. :-) Bill Bina On 4/13/2017 2:01 PM, Chuck Saur via CnC-List wrote: Spent some real quality boat time last week...using 1000 grit wet sandpaper to d
