+1 Jake - we do roll a fair amount, but I haven't lost rudder control yet
in 20+, in sizable waves under spinnaker (touch wood). I was thinking of
getting that blooper up too last time round. I'm sure that's what you
meant by double headsails...

David,You do that on a boat?

Try experimenting. I switch to 3/4 oz as soon as it will fill. I would never
carry the 1/2 oz in 10-14. Why take a chance on stretching it out.

Unless you know how to do an "inside-outside" or have deep pockets...stick to
the 3/4 oz

And I have an older 0.5oz in a sock that we use for cruising (because I'd
never use it cruising when it's really windy, right...). It is still in

I don't have an inner track, but would be running with the 0.5oz in 10
knots true (about 6 knots / 120 degrees apparent); tight reaching with the
0.75oz. About 12/14 knots TWS *running* is when I'd switch.

For those of you with a second genoa track along the cabin, at what wind
speed do you move to the inner track and back? The boat seems to point
better using the inner track, but the slot seems narrower.
At what wind speed do you go from the 1/2 ounce chute to the 3/4 ounce
chute?
