I had A '90 37+. Port backstay failed in 20 to 25 kts of wind with a reefed
main and a 135% h
I saw Michael's boat, Blue Pearl. A 1990 37+. We detected the failure of
the backstay and were extremely cautious. The sale fell through for a
myriad of other deficiencies. When we inspected the boat we ended up
buying (Sea Hawk a 1989 37+ with the tall rig and wing keel) we inspected
the back

I’ve had the Enterprise for 11 years now and don’t see any signs of wear, and I
have hydraulics, as well as used to race the boat pretty hard at times.

Bruce,
Both cockpit lockers on either side of the helm should give you plenty of
access to the backstay attachments. On the starboard side, you may need to pull
out the propane tank.
