The main difference is that the new sails dont stretch and their shape is
factory engineered.
You will still adjust mail and genoa halyard tension according to
conditions. You will likely
not ever require a Cunningham ever again.
Have Fun.

Now, bear in mind that I am a recovering racer and have carbon main
and headsails.
Makes a difference and, after all, isn't your boat as special to you as
any AC vessel.

Hi Rick,
Thank you for that helpful article.
I have a question for you. Really, I should be able to figure the answer out
based on all of the back and forth on winterizing. Anyway, here is the
question.
My engine is a 35 HP Yanmar. I live in Nova Scotia where the winters are
relatively mild by Cana
For some reason there is put forward the notion that we are discussing C&C

The Navy 44's reviewed in Practical Sailor were designed by David Pedrick.

Heavy? I made mine from stainless steel!!!
Works great and a lot lighter than the other things up front e.g.
anchor and 200 ft of chain. If you do find a source of the CF tube I'd
love to know about it.

I Love the Quote. I'll check the GBS connection (just for verification).
My C&C is a 1988 C&C 41 with a wing keel. She is a very tough boat
and sails very well in anything from 7 knots or so and up to 20+ (apparent)
without reefing the main. As to the SA guy , f..k the begrudgers.

Hi I designed and installed a SS removable sprit on my C&C 41.
Works like a charm.
I'll send you pics, if you like. Or you can shoot me some questions if you
like.
Cheers,
Niall.

Hello Harold,
I'm new to this Group so, don't know the format exactly.
I changed to high tech lines on all my halyards over the past few years.
My perceived advantages are as follows: less weight aloft (considerable,
maybe equivalent to a man on the rail),
much nicer on the hands if you need to ha
