When I got Mistress 4 years ago it was my first sail boat, and when I stood the
mast and rigged the boat for the first time, it was a lot of firsts all at once
for me.
Having taken lessons before I bought a boat I was expecting 2 separate jib

No it was not Nina. The listing broker could not pronounce the Irish name when
I asked and they didn't list it in the ad.

Not sure how many Good Old Boat subcribers are on the list but in the last
issue someone had redone the C&C cove strip with a reflective tape. Probably
not for every color scheme but I thought it would be very good at night if
someone was to shine a light towards the boat. I am considering
ching sometimes over 6.0. My personal best is 6.9 reaching, for 4 seconds,
and in flat water and a really nice puff.
I singlehand alot and don't know how to fly the spinnaker yet so I don't know

When I get new sails I am getting a 110 and perhaps 2 reefs in my main instead

The lights seem to be a non-standard option on what I found, at least on
this continent, or only on homemade systems.
Any leads or links appreciated.
This would be a hard thing for the crew to deal with though and indeed sad news.
I will note also that David had a situation of his own during a prior race
where a crew member became incapicated and the other crew, his son and another

So how close is the actual hull shape design of this boat to the 40. At a

I have always loved the look and layout of the 40. If the hull shape is

We also like the 37+ but none in the vicinity of this trip.
Thanks for any input.
Marek I dont know him personally, and he has that boat on his own mooring

next to him last year at crane out. If I see him this year I will
definitely say hi for you. We crane out on the 11th of October.

I never really gave much thought to stressing the rig and I haven't

I think this varies by province and some require certain items such as boats
are taxed each time they change hands. BC I know has this same arrangement.
Glad I live in Alberta we aren't subject to this kind of tax on boats. Only GST
if bought new.

Easy for me to say because I am a relatively new sailor but I agree with
