I am about to install a planar 5S diesel hydronic heater in our C&C 34+ and
would appreciate some advice on what to use for a balance/header tank.
I plan on running about 40 ft of 3/4 pex so that works out roughly to 3.5
litres of glycol in the system.

Not sure if brand matters but i used 1/2 * 1/8th
I found a good practice is to countersink gelcoat with 5/16th and apply cone
shape butyl tape to bolt.
last year I refitted deck hardware, genoa tracks and mast collar with this
approach and it worked great.

We had a tides marine mast track and Doyle stack pack on our 30-2 worked fairly
good for convenience.
On our 34 + we have a batten rail car system for the track, which I love, and a
brand new conventional sailcover with cut out and fold over velcroed flaps for
lazy jack lines.

First off thanks to all that replied. the comments and advice were of
assistance. Here is what I found out
1) There was old water in the fresh water tanks. yes i should have checked that
first...Smelled just like sewer and I suspect that the stagnant hot water
heater water was contributing to t
