We replaced our life lines some years ago. What I remember is that it was not
that hard. My wife says we got the parts from West Marine but I think we got
them from somewhere else. In any case you need a good tool to cut the wire and
a good tool for nicro pressing. And careful measuring.

John, I forgot to mention that the davits are on my LF39 not the lf38. Major
difference in boat design. On Pegasus the Lf38 I carried the dinghy on the bow
during long crossings. I did have a Garhauer motor crane for the out board.

The outer diameter is a press fit into the deal bore. The green coating on the

I'd rather spend an hour poking myself in the eye with a pencil than trying to
enlarge the hole with a dremel...

Unfortunately our ZF 15 MIV transmission needs replacement. The current
gearbox has a 2.13:1 gear ration and I believe the gearbox has been
replaced in the past. The owners manual for the LF38 says the ration should
be 2.83:1. Our prop is a two blade 16" x 13" x 1-1/8" RH which more closely
matches
