And welcome to the list.
We're mostly a group of the oldies and goodies as you seem aware. The

I have to say, thus far it has proven to be a worthy successor to the Niagara
built boats. So is this list open to the new breed?

I like having a tach but for $20 you can get a portable laser-tach from

with the throttle all the way down. Then on the top end of the RPM range

Just watched the big osprey try to land on another masthead. He was not
successful. When he tried to land I saw something fall. I hope it wasn't the
wind instrument breaking off.
Now he's sitting on the shaft of the wind sensor of a Beneteau. Where's my gun?

If it's an Alan Gurney design, it will sail we'll. I had a 27 O'Day by him.
Fairly nice boat.
Biggest downside of the 27 was the lower shrouds were attached to a plate under
the deck. Once the bedding broke loose the resulting leak rotted the balsa

The Pearson 30 is a good boat. It won't have the same feel of quality,
especially inside, that you get from the C&C. But they sail well and are pretty
comfortable. I like tiller steering for smaller boats. You don't need the
