It does look cool. But you can't install Linux on it (yet). Judging from
their web site, it's still in concept/design/not-yet-manufactured stage.

Not familiar with these converters either, but if it has composite or
s-video only, it outputs NTSC only. Also not sure if it's capable of
downconverting the resolution, so your best bet would be to try to lower
your input resolution into converter to 640 x 480 / 60 Hz, and see what's
happening. I'
Same here. I'm on Shaw and both 22 and 80 ports work fine when accessed
from outside. I'm using Shaw's Motorola modem and an old Linksys WRT54GL
router with Tomato firmware. Ports had to be opened on the router and
Tomato does have tabs for that. It doesn't seem that Shaw is blocking these
ports, a

Extract the tarball and run the installer like so:
tar -xzvf firefox-1.0.

Yesterday I was on their web site. Skype 1.0 is released. Min. requirements are:
- cpu min. 400 mhz
- sound card
- modem 33.6
yes, it's proprietary app. skype-to-skype calls are free, skype-out
calls are really cheap (~10 euro cents for yugoslavia, 2 euro cent for
UK or US - per minute, of course)

As far as I know, Shaw doesn't have unencrypted (clear QAM) digital
channels. You could use composite/S-video inputs to the card, but
that's not HD - your cable box would downconvert to standard def,
which makes no sense. Your only option for HD with these cards is
ATSC, or off the air HDTV signal:
BTW, Global is transmitting on analog VHF ch. 2 from Signal Hill, and
digital on UHF ch. 41 (virtual 2-1) from the temporary transmitter on
Barlow and Center Av. Very soon, digital will move to the Signal Hill
as well, I hope.

Hi
last year my company got new VoIP PBX. We had couple of pieces of equipment

YMMV.

Exactly. VoIP codecs are lossy codecs. Like MP3 - discards some data that
you don't hear anyway, but you wouldn't use it to compress data from your
bank account.
