Not familiar with these converters either, but if it has composite or s-video only, it outputs NTSC only. Also not sure if it's capable of downconverting the resolution, so your best bet would be to try to lower your input resolution into converter to 640 x 480 / 60 Hz, and see what's happening. I'm guessing the converter takes VGA as an input?
