I have a long running recurring issue that I'd appreciate any help.
We have an automated ingest routine that runs any-old-binary through ClamAV.
The sources of files is all over, and I've observed files that come in via a
web harvesting tool result in a particular malware warning.

not get out (and admin notification of the offending IP wouldn't be
hard either). Is anyone aware of a SMTP proxy that is capable of
this? I believe the transparent proxy part would be configurable
with Linux and IPTables. Any suggestions?

If you're depending on Clamscan to decode the MIME message, then it
won't find the virus. Using a tool like reformime or ripmime to decode
the mail, THEN scanning the actual attachments, WILL work.

I have a strange problem. I set-up qmail-scanner last night and things were
cool. But here is the problem... I send & receive simple text messages no
problem. The problem is sending a attachment (.doc, .pdf even a .tiff file)
through my server prompts this error message:
