Newer release of Mailscanner lets you connect directly to clamd, which does not
have this problem and should also use less memory.
If in doubt ask to Mailscanner mailing list.

Good morning,
Did you find the same behaviour of v0.92 and SIGHUP that when you
send HUP to clamav-milter daemon it will reopen the log file but messa-
ges:
LibClamAV Warning
LibClamAV Error
LibClamAV debug
from libclamav will still go to the old file log?
Best regards,

Hello,
I tried the options below to disable phishing completely but I still
receive virus alerts in the maillog.
Is there a way to completely disable this feature ?
clamav version : clamav-0.91.2
Used with courier-mta + courier-pythonfilter (only clamav activated)
the setting changed in clamd.co

Perhaps we could change clamd to gracefully ignore malformed DBs with an
error message, rather than exiting and filling up mail queues?
Thanks,

Hi all.
I'm trying to track down a performance issue that I get using clamwin,
and I've traced the problem back to clamav (I've tested clamav's
current subversion on my Debian Etch box).
On my Thinkpad T60, I can run clamscan against a 24 megabyte binary
(filled with random bytes) in about 10 sec
On second thought, it turns out I have an old updating script which
doesn't verify the DB validity before installing. Mea culpa.
