Julian posted a patch for the perl module and instructions on the MailScanner list last night, and you can switch to the internal clamd support until an official Mail::ClamAV module is available. Using the clamd support results in the same speed with the side effect of using less memory as well. It's also not dependant on versioning of clam unless they change the protocol all together which isn't very likely I would think.
