Hi,
Can someone briefly explain to me what binary packages are? I intend to
upgrade clamav from .70 to .87, but on going through the upgrade
instructions, there is a portion about precompiled binaries e.g Debian,
which i don't cleary understand.

I have on at least three different occasions submitted confirmed,
malicious code to the clamav sendvirus.html page, but still none of the
files are recognized as "evil" by clam :(
If there is any problem or questions regarding the files in question,

By reading the docs/signatures.pdf i've succeeded in creating my own hex
signatures but how is it works for phishing mails? Doesn't it need a
feature like "-mail--normalise" (like the "--html-normalise") in order
to get rid of the header part of the phishing mail? Anyone can explain

Never mind -- I should have read the original post and realized he was
upgrading from a manually-installed ClamAV to a pacakged version. Under
that circumstance, you *do* need to manually remove everything first
