Sorry, false alarm, it was the proxy copy of the viruses.md5 that I was
looking at. After a reload, I get the correct value. Before this
freshclam fail also due to it use the cache copy of the viruses file.

clamscan users should upgrade to the newest (clamav-20030110) snapshot
if their mail software doesn't use --max-* limits. Now clamscan has the
following archive limits: max-files = 500, max-size = 10M, max-recursion = 5
enabled by default. You don't need to update if you're
