Thanks for that, but i have noted that i was running two copies of
freshclam.
One was in /usr/bin/freshclam and the other latest new one was
in /usr/local/lib/freshclam and i had a cron job running to update using
the earlier version but i have since fixed that now.

Normal if you didn't configure any scheduled job, try to exec "freshclam"
(bin) and see what happen. For other options look into "freshclam.conf".
