my smtpd/clamd system seems to be working correctly...
no virus seen in a while, and logs of dropped viruses. :)
however, today I decided for no particular reason that I'd like

Hi, I am running ClamXav with the 0.88 engine on a Powerbook G4.
I have just checked my provider with the webmail.us/testvirus set.
#5, #15, #22 and #23 went though into my account without ClamXav
Sentry showing any interest. A manual scan did not flag them up either.
How come? Is there anyt

Thanks for the replies everyone - Debian is Woody, Clamav is 0.80. I am
using Surgemail. In Surgemail I am calling clamdscan and now notice that it
is set to remove files. I didn't realise I needed any "glue" though, so that
may be the problem! I didn't compile with clamav-milter because I'm not

SCAN (or RAWSCAN) /path_to_file_or_dir

I saw on another mailing list someone trying out some test viruses through
email that clamav wasnt catching. I've tried the tests myself and out of
about 20 tests, i think 4 were caught by my mailserver running clamav with
the newest virus definitions. Does anyone else have these results? What

I am new to clamav and I have it installed, but not sure if I have it
configured properly. Is there somewhere I have to tell it what to do with

OK.I have q-mail/courier-imap/clamav installed. I
checked clamav by issueing clamscan command and it
scanned fine, it also updates automatically. I followed
