Stefano, on the machine with the problems, can you run freshclam with debug
and verbose logging? Since debugging output goes to stderr, you'll want to
pipe stderr to stdout (freshclam --debug --verbose 2>&1). Can you re-run
clamscan on the same machine with the same flags and with stderr piped to

I have another VPS, an exact copy of the one we are talking about, except
for the data stored, where everything is working and no errors are
logged
