I'm running the version from ports on freebsd. It takes a good couple weeks to reproduce itself. It's a production machine, I generally don't run cvs'ed versions of things. Is the cvs tree reasonably stable enough to try? I'll try Chuck's suggestion of limiting the number of child procs, but I

You need to start Yast. Once in yast go to System and then System Services (Runlevel). There will appear a window with all the services running or to be started, scroll down to clamd, highlight and then press the 'Enable' button at the bottom.  Scroll down and do likewise with freshclam. Once
