I am getting this problem and I have just confirmed that our upstream ISP uses
a transparent proxy. Is there a way to force a transparent proxy to not cache
the data?

Only viruses.db will work with ScannerDaemon, viruses.db2 won't work
because SD lacks regular expressions support.

What credo file ? Do you want to use clamav's database with ScannerDaemon ?
You can't build a credo file for OAV
I use qmail/qmailscanner/clam. Works well. Search for qmailscanner in
google.
