This is a good thought, except the keypad lock only locks the keys on
the front of the radio. It has no effect on the [PTT] button or si
Programming seems to work ok. Can download from the radio, make changes and
upload successfully. Using a.usb cable on win 10 with latest chirp update.
Just no xmit. Receive works ok. Will try downloafing from another radio same
model and uploading to this one and see if I get lucky.

Maybe the fields aren't marked correctly.
Perhaps try uploading a CVS from another Baofeng from someone on the list.
I use the same CSV file in all my radios, usually different brands accept the
same fields.
But I wouldn't upload an IMG from a different model, just the CSV.

search for that item) will give you a handy list of COM ports. Bring up
Device Manager, note the COM ports listed, plug the cable in, refresh the
DM display if needed, and you should see it, either under COM ports or as a

If you open device manager, and plug in your cable, and open up ports com and
lpt and then unplug your cable, you will see it disappear, and you can plug it
back in to note the com port number.

There is a reset procedure on youtube. Press "A' xmit, monitor andsomething
else and power on. This is for newer radios to go out of band. Did help my
problem.
