Hope these observations help people use CHIRP to help them work through the
TM-D700A radios crankiness.

having to use the legacy Chirp for this radio and that's what's working for

I think this has been asked before, in March 2019, but I'm wondering if
there is any further news on Chirp support for the Yaesu FT-991A? Is
there perhaps a different model which uses much the same communication
protocol that does have Chirp support?
Kind regards, Mark Dixon,

Hope that helps!

Just bought a Tri-band version of the A58S,
and although Chirp downloads from radio in either A58, A58S or even
UV-5R-XYZmk3Turbo whatever it is.
when i download the radios stock configuration i see VHF and UHF
frequencies including 220Mhz.
but Chirp only says this radio is VHF and UHF and not 220M

No, nothing bad happened. It was years ago, and you might be right. Maybe it
was an earlier version of CHIRP that just wasn’t going to work no matter what.
In any case, I have the ADMS and it works great for me.

In my case everyone kept saying to be sure the cable is plugged all the way
into the radio. I kept looking for other causes until I got mad enough to
really push it in. It did click into the second notch and now works fine

How do you get CHIRP to work on a MacBook Pro? I keep getting an error message

site, and also with the cable I have, it’s supposed to be compatible.
